A Shotgun is described as “is a firearm that is usually designed to be fired from the shoulder, which uses the energy of a fixed shell to fire a number of small spherical pellets called shot, or a solid projectile called a slug”
It has different combinations and sizes, and is used for hunting, personal protection, and sport. A shotgun is traditionally a smooth bore gun, because they are mostly used to shoot a large amount of small pellets, to have a greater chance to hit its target, because the pellets tend to spread out after they leave the muzzle of the gun. They can also fire single metal object called slugs.
